You are on escort duty as part of the defense screen around a convoy You are covering the starboard astern sector of the convoy. You receive a radio message from a VLE ( Very Long Range Escort ) Canso patrol plane covering the convoy. The patrol plane has a radar contact bearing Starboard 45 degrees from your current course. Your captain signals the escort command ship and receives the o.k. to begin hunting. The Canso patrol plane guides you to the location but by the time you arrive the submarine has disappeared.
