1941 End of Year Shipping Losses Report
The situation on the North Atlantic continues to look very bad for the Allies' convoys and escorts. Losses to U-Boats in 1941 were still heavy - 3,348,000 tons of shipping sunk - but at least the problem appeared to have stabilized. On the bright side, the Germans have lost another major warship - the battleship Bismarck.
