June 1943- You and your crew are posted to a new squadron No. 434 Squadron (Bluenose) RCAF, is forming at RAF airfield Tholthorpe, North Yorkshire. Every squadron puts forward a few crews - usually rookies - to provide the nucleus for the new squadron and that's how you have ended up here. In a few days you will fly your first combat mission. Being assigned to a brand new squadron has some advantages. The squadron needs new leadership so you have been promoted to Flight Sergeant. Congratulations, Flight!
